how to stream vr porn

This is a guide on how to download and how to stream VR porn from your hard drive properly. Yes, you can stream directly from your external hard drive. You should NOT be streaming directly from websites in inferior quality and with lag except to test if a video is worth downloading.

I use a Mac, so this guide will have 1 extra step, but otherwise applies for Windows too.

Step 1: Buy the stuff you need

Buy the RAVPower Filehub, then buy a 4TB hard drive, then pay+download NTFS for Mac (only for Mac users). That’s all you need. Don’t be cheap with HD space – the extra TBs lets you have peace of mind to download whatever shit you want in maximum quality.

Step 2: Setup Filehub

First, download the RAV Filehub app on your phone from the app store. Then, turn on Filehub and connect your phone to the Filehub WiFi network. When you open the RAV Filehub app, go to Internet Settings from top right icon and connect to your primary home WiFi network.

Boom! You can now access the internet whenever your device is connected to the Filehub WiFi (because it in turn is now connected to your home WiFi).

Step 3: Format your hard drive to NTFS

Before using your hard drive, you need to reformat it to NTFS. If you bought the WD hard drive I recommended, this is REALLY important.

If your hard drive is formatted to anything else, you will have issue (such as Filehub suddenly not reading the hard drive contents after 1-2 months). BE WARNED. I’ve gone through 3 sets of hard drives before formatting to NTFS, which has been trouble-free since.

Just Google how to reformat external hard drive and follow instructions for your Mac/Windows. Easy.

Step 4 (Mac users only): Download NTFS for Mac

Skip this step if you use Windows. Mac users read on.

NTFS is a Windows-specific format for hard drives. Macs cannot add/edit files stored in NTFS-formatted hard drives.

Download the NTFS for Mac software, which gives your Mac the power to read/write NTFS-formatted hard drives. Ya, suck you have to pay for software in 2021, but VR isn’t exactly a cheap hobby. Save a few Starbucks purchases and pay for it.

Step 5: Plug your hard drive into Filehub & download videos

Turn on your Filehub, then plug your NTFS-formatted hard drive into it. The first time you do, Filehub will automatically create a folder called “Share”. This folder is where all of your downloaded videos will go to and stream from.

Turn off Filehub, connect the HD to your computer, and download a few videos onto the Share folder.

Step 6: Stream videos from your VR headset

Connect the HD to your Filehub, turn it on, and connect your VR headset (for me Oculus Quest 2) to the Filehub WiFi network (NOT your home network).

Launch DeoVR or another VR video player that can access DLNA server. On the app, open the DLNA network for your Filehub and you will see your hard drive’s share folder.

You’re done! Stream any and all of your videos directly from your hard drive thanks to the Filehub. You even have access to the internet to browse and checkout trailers online.
