Just a few hours ago Facebook’s new Oculus Quest 2 Leaked for the whole web to see. Well in advance for the scheduled unveiling of 16 September and 17 September.
From the video you can learn some amazing updates to our favorite VR Porn watching device. The one I am most happy about is the upgrade from Snapdragon 835 to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2, which was specifically designed with VR and AR in mind. This should make it able for us to take advantage of the new 8K VR Porn videos out there.
One of the videos says that the new Quest 2 will have an “almost 4K display, and a second one says it will have 50 percent more pixels that the first one, that would bring us to a 1900×1800 per eye panel.
The new headset will also have increased storage from 128 to 256, 6gb of Ram, 3D positional audio and of course hand tracking, to jerk off without controllers. Other improvements are to the head-strap, controllers and headset shape, said to make it less bulky.
Some of my estimates are that it will be released soon at the end of 2020 or first quarter of 2021 if they can handle production, pricing I estimate it at 400USD, same like the first version which was discontinued.
Should we upgrade?
Facebook’s New Oculus Quest 2 leaked videos does not give us all the information. We are still waiting for more details like screen refresh rate, weight of the build and others. But from what I see, I think I can answer the question. And my answer is yes. Depending on the price of course. But having a better processor and a better screen with more details, it’s already a must have.

Update: Release date for the Oculus Quest 2 will be on 12 of October, you can pre-order now from the Oculus Website. Amazingly price will start at $299 for the 64GB version and $399 for the 256GB version.
