Maybe you already have the Oculus Rift and you want to upgrade to Rift S for VR Porn. Or you have something like the Oculus Go or Quest. So the resolution went a bit up. But not significantly, and the refresh rate went down. Another change is moving to LCD instead of AMOLED. Because of this I now tend to see less pixels on the screen and less flare. But not by much.
For me the biggest reason to upgrade to Oculus Rift S would be the sensors. Far less cables around the room. And the fact that it has incorporated cameras. So I can switch on the cameras and see if someone is spying on me. I am weird like that.
But let’s say you have an Oculus Go or even better, Oculus Quest. Do you even need a Oculus Rift S for VR Porn? For sure! (Unless you travel a lot)
With the Rift, you can watch higher resolution VR Porn videos like 6K or even 8K, not something you can do on standalone vr headsets at the moment. But we can only hope..
